“We are so happy that we found Whitney and Ekelund Doodles while on the puppy search! We had been wanting a dog for quite some time when we came across the site. From the start, Whitney was prompt with responses and kept us posted with weekly updates on Obie as well as answered any questions we had while preparing for the new pup. As for our boy Obie, we couldn’t be more happy! From the day we brought him home he hasn’t met a person or dog that he didn’t like. He is such a sweet, smart, confident boy, and we have had so much fun getting to know him. We highly recommend Ekelund Doodles!”

“Finding Ekelund Doodles was a blessing. We had been in search of an F1b Goldendoodle in our area, but finding a reputable breeder was not an easy task. From the first moment I spoke with Whitney, I knew it was a perfect match. She answered all my questions, and reassured me throughout the process (since this was our first puppy). She contacted me the minute the puppies were born, and updated me frequently with pictures and videos. Not only was the entire litter gorgeous, our little Gemma arrived home happy and healthy; chipped, and with her first vet visit and first set of vaccines complete. Ekelund Doodles could not have made the process easier for this first time adoptive family. We will be forever grateful, and if we could, would adopt another puppy from Ekelund Doodles in a heartbeat!”

I bought a mini goldendoodle from Ekelund Doodles. The puppy was healthy,
intelligent and extremely loving. The puppy is a wonderful addition to my family.
I give the Ekelund Doodles 5 stars.”

Hi Whitney,
Here we are at years’ end, and we thought you might enjoy a Birdie report!
She is the delight of our lives:
A major bonder, she is smart, funny, playful, gentle, affectionate, and has been easy to train.
I hadn’t expected her to be food-oriented (a grazer at first), but she is and thus treat-training works.
Burping Birdie is an appropriate nickname!
Her words: Wait. Come. Leave-it. —and many more than I know of.
She is so smart.
At 7am, I open the door and she runs out to our little yard for her pee and poo—(this area borders the marsh and beyond—she could go anywhere but never does)—runs back to the front door in 30 seconds & comes in for her “good-girl” treat, her paws up on the arms of the chair we call her “attention-station”
We’ve taught her to paw at the screen-door till it allows a crack of space for her to open it—so now she know how to come in on her own.
In town, she’s calm and friendly but wisely careful— loves to play, and encourages friends' dogs for zoomies when we run in to each other in the open-space in the wetlands area.
She loves her many squeaky stuffed-animal-toys—tosses them in the air and whips them around. Doesn’t grab or chew on things she shouldn’t. She just seems to know.
Leaps onto our bed (and oh that leap—such a joy!!), hangs out during naps or reading. And as I close my book at around 9pm, she jumps off and walks into her crate and snuggles in for the night. (This at the suggestion of our vet, in Jan. 2024.) It took her 2 days to get used to it: ie go in without my encouragement. Now it’s her cozy-place.
We are very grateful to have her in our life—thank you both so very much.
All our best wishes for this new year,
Wendy, Mark, and Birdie.
